Tour imperdible

Canal de las Montañas (Channel of the Mountains)

Available year-round, depending on weather conditions.

This full-day navigation excursion invites you to discover one of the best-kept secrets of the Última Esperanza Province: the Fjord of the Mountains (Fiordo de las Montañas), a spectacular corner of Chilean Patagonia that can only be reached by sea. The experience begins in Puerto Natales, where passengers board to set off on a journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Magallanes Region.
During the cruise, the route crosses Señoret Channel, Natales Bay, and Almirante Montt Gulf, until reaching Angostura Kirke—one of the area’s most fascinating passages. Breakfast and snacks are served on board as the scenery shifts into a dramatic setting of fjords, cliffs, and mountains, signaling arrival at Kawésqar National Park and the start of the Mountains Channel (Canal de las Montañas).
At the heart of the journey, you visit the Cabo Gray area, the point that marks the entrance to the fjord and offers privileged views of the Las Montañas Peninsula and the Sarmiento Range, from which impressive glaciers descend—such as Zamudio, Bernal, Herman, Alsina, and Paredes. This almost untouched and rarely explored environment is characterized by lush vegetation, native wildlife, and massive ice walls that drop directly into the fjord’s waters, creating a landscape of breathtaking beauty.
On the return, the vessel sails through Santa María Channel, where you can spot iconic formations such as the “La Paz Group,” popularly known as “Cerro Ratón,” located on the Roca Peninsula.
Season: Available Year-round.
