At the end of the world—where the land breaks into islands, channels, and jagged peaks—one of Patagonia’s most extreme and fascinating journeys takes place: the Dientes de Navarino Trail. Set on remote Navarino Island, this route is considered the southernmost trek on the planet and is designed for travelers seeking authentic experiences far from conventional trails.
The trail crosses sub-Antarctic forests, vast peat bogs, secluded valleys, and crystal-clear lagoons, always accompanied by views of the Beagle Channel and sharp summits rising over 1,000 meters. The terrain is demanding and the weather highly changeable, turning this expedition into a true physical and mental challenge—ideal for long-distance trekking enthusiasts.
One of the highlights is the ascent to natural viewpoints such as Cerro Bettinelli, offering sweeping panoramas of Lake Windhond and the peaks that give this unique mountain range its name. Unlike other, more famous Patagonian circuits, this experience stands out for its feeling of complete isolation and direct contact with pristine nature.
The circuit is completed over several days (generally 4 to 6 hiking days, depending on the chosen program), always accompanied by specialized guides who lead the route and ensure safety in the field.
The adventure begins and ends in Puerto Williams, the southernmost city in the world, where you can discover local culture, Fuegian history, and enjoy the traditional cuisine of the far south.
Trek duration: Programs range from 4 to 6 days
