The King Penguin Natural Reserve, located on the coast of Bahía Inútil in Chilean Tierra del Fuego, is the only place in South America where it is possible to observe king penguins in their natural habitat. This conservation sanctuary works with a strong commitment to protecting biodiversity, environmental education, and responsible tourism, offering visitors a unique, respectful, and deeply enriching experience in one of Patagonia’s most remote landscapes.
Visits take place in small groups at set times. Each tour is led by specialized park rangers, who accompany visitors throughout the experience and share information about the species, the Fuegian steppe ecosystem, and the area’s natural history. The guided visit lasts approximately one hour and allows visitors to observe the colony from specially designated viewpoints, ensuring the birds’ well-being and a safe experience for guests.Season: October to May
